Elegant white gold ring with large cultured pearl & diamonds, around 1975
    description
Pearls have always fascinated people and have been charged with meaning since ancient times. In Central Europe, for example, they are particularly viewed as the gemstones of the goddess of love Venus, who according to legend is “born of foam”, that is, similar to the pearl of a shell. Representations of this scene have come down to us, for example, in the famous Venus painting by Sandro Botticelli. This magnificent ring from the last third of the 20th century appears like a precious sea blossom. Century. An impressive Akoya pearl with a wonderfully velvety luster shimmers in its center. Flawless pearls of this quality are the most sought-after cultured pearls - so this pearl with a diameter of around 9.0 millimeters is a real eye-catcher. Its creamy white basic color shows an iridescent overlay in a light pink shade, which gives the ring a certain warmth. The central pearl is framed by a shimmering wreath of fine brilliant-cut diamonds and appears to be bedded on glittering ice crystals. The excellent diamonds (Top Wesselton / vsi) have a total weight of around 0.77 carats and their clear sparkle forms a nice contrast to the soft luster of the pearl. The frames and ring band are made of white gold, the light color of which harmonizes perfectly with the trimmings. The piece of jewelery from around 1975 inspires at first sight with its exquisite materials, its harmonious design and its bright play of colors. Just the thing for the glamorous sea mermaid!

    about us
    Hofer antique jewelry
arose from the joy of beautiful things. It all started with my grandma, who was a lady who liked to adorn herself. She could tell something about each of her pieces of jewelery and when she opened her jewelery box, a world opened up: fond memories and touching stories connected with the pieces marked the highlights of a lived life. Based on these experiences, over the years a passion grew in me to deal with these small and always very personal objects.
