Description
Here we have a wonderful quality pottery low and round COVERED CASSEROLE DISH depicting a stylized sailing ship and whale as well as "The End" on the interior bottom - by M.A.HADLEY of Louisville, KY in the "Ship & Whale" pattern. It measure approx. 9" in diameter (add 1/2" for each side grip handle) x 2-3/4" side high x 4-3/4" in total height with the lid, can hold up to 56 liquid ounces. Both pieces are in very good almost excellent maintained (barely/hardly used) condition with the slight exception of a minor exterior bottom sliver-chip on the edge (see photo #7)...which is not offensive and does not deter from its serving/cooking abilities. The bottom is marked "M.A Hadley" in blue as well as the lids underside. Came from a private home collection of some years, however the exact age is unknown, pattern started in 1994.  This item weighs approx. 6 lbs., add 2-3/4 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material.  I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased.
