ANTIQUE PERFECT PENCIL POINTER SHARPENER - STILL WORKS SMOOTHLY.
A stationary sharpener made of maple wood runs on brass tooth gear with a steel file to sharpen the pencil lead point. By inserting the pencil into the chuck that is mounted in a circular sliding rotating wheel carriage, by grasping the wheel with your finger & pressing the side against the file. As it slides along the horizontal wooden shaft, the pencil rubs against the file as it rotates & sharpens the point. One still had to use a knife to shave the wood down to the lead before using the Perfect Pencil

CONDITION: USED.  EXCELLENT.
Considering age & use. Solid/clean. With flea minute surface wear. No Other Condition Problems.
DIMENSIONS:  Overall L. - 10 1/4"W. - 2 1/4" x H. - 3 1/2".
