After the flat, strictly geometric designs of the 1920s, jewelry was allowed to become more plastic again around 1930 and its shapes softer and more curved. Rings in the shape of an elongated shield were previously in demand, but now people prefer to wear rings with a front that is perpendicular to the finger. The present ring is a typical example of a ring from the 1930s. Still completely committed to the white aesthetics of Art Déco , its front has already turned 90 degrees and dares to take up more plastic and rounded forms. A large pearl with a creamy luster stands in the foreground on the ring head covered with platinum and structured with shadow gaps and mille handles. The cool, shiny diamonds are grouped around them in a rhythmic formation. A narrow ring band adjoins the airy yellow gold base. The ring thus unites the characteristics of advanced Art Déco most beautiful way: delicate in its craftsmanship and colors, but powerful in design and format. It is in excellent condition.
